Chili Beef

Yield: 12 Servings

You can add canned mushrooms if you like and more spices to your taste.

1 Pounds Lean Ground Beef 1 1/2 Teaspoons Oregano
1 Green Pepper, Chopped 1 Can Tomatoes Or Stewed Tomatoes
1 Medium Onion, Chopped -(28 Ounce), Undrained & Chopped
1 Or 2 Garlic Clove, Minced 1 Can Tomato Paste (5 1/2 Ounce)
1 Tablespoon Chili Powder 1 Can Kidney Beans (19 Ounce),
1 1/4 Teaspoons Ground Cumin -Drained
1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar 1 Can Baked Beans (14 Ounce)

Cook meat in a nonstick large stockpot until no longer pink. Remove from heat and drain. Set meat aside. Spray stockpot with nonstick cooking spray and heat over medium heat. Add green pepper, onion, and garlic and sauté 8 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Return the cooked meat to the pot and add remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer for 35 to 40 minutes.
