Sweet And Sour Sauce For Spareribs #1
From Linda's Kitchen

1/2 Cup Vinegar (white) 1 1/2 Tablespoons Oil
1/2 Cup Water 1 Green Pepper, Squared
1/4 Cup Orange Juice 1 1/2 Tablespoons Ketchup
1 Cup Crushed Pineapple, Undrained 1 1/2 Teaspoons Salt
2/3 Cup Sugar

Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Now stir 2 tablespoons cornstarch into some of the hot sauce in a small bowl. Add the rest in pan with 2 medium tomatoes (quartered). Bring to a boil and allow to simmer covered for 10 minutes. (This will make one quart).

Fry spareribs (cut to 1 or 2 inches), at least brown them. When spareribs are brown add to sauce and cook in oven at medium heat for 40 - 50 minutes.
You could also use a roast (loin). Trim off fat. Cut meat into pieces. Brown in fat, drain on paper towelling. When meat is brown,
add to sauce and cook in oven for about 40 - 50 minutes in a casserole dish (350)F
